Josh and I, Emmy Crowder, got our first ridgeback from Shawna Chastain of Vyrtuous Rhodesian Ridgebacks in 2014. Unbeknownst to us, this would be a decision that completely changed the trajectory of our lives. What started as just getting a pet puppy, quickly turned into a want and a need to make this breed a bigger part of our lives. It didn't take long for us to add to our pack. We got Chili from Shawna in 2015. She was our first true show puppy. I was hooked! My weekends began to revolve around road trips and show sites, and once she was old enough, coursing sites as well. In early 2016, we lost our best friend, Django, to lymphoma. Left heartbroken, we knew we needed to get Chili a playmate again. Thats where our Australian import, Bravo, comes in. When Shawna retired, we knew we wanted to continue her vision for our dogs. With a focus on temperament, conformation, and performance, we look forward to applying our love and knowledge of the breed to produce sound, healthy, family-oriented ridgebacks for the future.
